This is a project that Payton decided to undertake in late spring of this year.  He had a good deal on a pair of imported boas, and, unfortunately, only one survived.  We are currently in the process of acquiring a few more of these interesting little snakes, and we can't wait to get the ball rolling on this breeding project this year.  These little snakes have gotten a nasty reputation because most of the specimens in captivity have been imported and our goal is to help change that. Their elongated facial features and wide array of patterns and colors make them beautiful specimen if they can be tamed.  We haven't personally experienced much tenacity with the Viper Boas, and they have been relatively docile.  This is going to be a project worth watching and we can't wait to see where it goes. Here are the animals as of now and you can view more pictures of each animal in the Gallery section of our site.  Enjoy!

Caden

Viper Boas Caden

Caden has really caught our eyes over the last year, and we have only become more and more fascinated with this species since we acquired him.  He feeds with a tenacity that we don't see in any of our other snakes, and the way he moves blows us away.  We can't wait to find him a good mate, and we're really looking forward to what this project has to offer through him.  Their genes are still relatively unknown to us as well as a lot of the herp world, so this is really something we're looking forward to.

Jax

Viper Boas Caden

Jax is basically a keeled, goofy looking ball python.  He is the shyest Viper Boa we currently have and loves to ball up when he is handled.  Once again, he's an extremely docile Viper Boa with a very light, melanistic look to him. He's the smaller male at the moment, but we're unsure of his age since he is a wild-caught specimen and look forward to seeing him develop into a good breeder for us.
