The Ball Python side of our breeding projects is handled by Chase, and he is really excited about the different morphs and genes that we are currently pursuing. Because Ruddock Reptiles is fairly new to the breeding realm, we are starting with some of the basic genes needed in any Ball Python collection. Right now the collection consists of 4 snakes that carry some Co-Dominant genes as well as some Recessive genes.  The collection is growing rapidly, and should include more genes and projects in the next few years. Here are the animals as of now and you can view more pictures of each animal in the Gallery section of our site.  Enjoy!

Pastels

Pastel

Ball Python Pastel

Chase acquired this beautiful Bell Line Pastel Male at a show in Kansas City a while ago and this big guy is looking great.  Photos just don't do him justice as he has some beautiful blushing along the sides, some killer green eyes, and some beautiful yellows that are holding strong in his pattern.  He should be breeding this year with a big female, and with a little luck he'll produce some gorgeous offspring.

Normals

Big Bertha

Ball Python Big Bertha

This is "Big Bertha", Chase's new big breeder female.  This girl is huge and has some nice blushing for a normal.  When he acquired her she was already +2000g and taking down rats like nothing!  She's a real sweetheart and we can't wait to see how big and beautiful her babies will be!

Rosie

Ball Python Rosie

Rosie is Chase's "Woodstock".  She is a beautiful little female, and she was Chase's first snake since we started keeping them again in the past few years.  She's growing a little slower than the other Ball Pythons, but in time she's going to produce some pretty little normals with some great blushing.  She should be great for Co-Dominant and Dominant projects that come our way in the future, and should be ready to breed hopefully by 2010.

Albinos

Calypso

Ball Python Calypso

Calypso is one that is going to be a fun, long project that all depends on Murphy (as in Murphy's Law) and how kind he is to us.  Calypso is a 100% het Albino Ball and he has got some tenacity to him. He eats like a pig and when its time to eat he's ready to strike at anything that moves.  He's a real sweetheart when he's fed though, and his eyes are just beautiful.  There's a good possibility this guy might get a female that is het Albino as well, but that's another project that we're looking into at the moment.
